Pūtarikamotu is a remnant kahikatea floodplain forest, the only area of original native bush remaining in Ōtautahi.

Wendy worked closely with Christchurch City Council Planners to conduct a comprehensive heritage landscape assessment of the area surrounding Pūtarikamotu Riccarton Bush, as part of Council’s response to Plan Change 14.

Wendy evaluated the effects of intensification on the heritage landscape values of Pūtaikamotu from surrounding streets and was an expert witness for Council as part of Plan Change 14.
