Wendy collaborated with Christchurch City Council and the Sutton Heritage House and Garden Charitable Trust, to prepare a Landscape Conservation Plan which now guides design direction and future maintenance of the garden.

The Plan identifies key aspects of the garden related to William Sutton’s influence as a nationally significant Christchurch artist and one of Aotearoa’s most important landscape and portrait painters.
